Fine Wine In The Wrong Cup, est un album collaboratif entre le duo de rappeur/producteur The Flymax Band et le producteur/compositeur dlght. Portés par l’envie de sortir de leur zone de confort et d’apporter de nouvelles couleurs musicales à leur univers, le duo décide de travailler avec dlght, l’idée en tête de fusionner leurs inspirations et de faire du hip-hop sans en suivre la structure habituelle.

Ce corpus de 15 tracks mélange les genres et surprend par sa structure unique alternant les morceaux rap et les interludes-collage. The Flymax Band y naviguent entre les personnages, changeant de voix et de flow au gré de ces 25 minutes de Hip-hop, de Jazz et d’ambient. Le projet s’accompagne d’un clip réalisé par Nathan Gourarier, avec qui le duo collabore depuis leurs débuts. C’est ce film qui a finalement donné son concept à l’album: proposer à l’auditeur une dégustation à l’improviste, un jeu, où le grand cru se boit dans un gobelet, ou l’ambient et le jazz rencontre la beat music et le rap.

Fine Wine In The Wrong Cup is a collaborative album between rapper/producers duo The Flymax Band and composer dlght. Driven by the desire to step out of their comfort zone and bring new musical colors to their univers, the duo decided to work with dlght. They wanted to merged their inspirations and make an Hiphop project a different way.

This 15 tracks album blend genres and surprise with its unique structure alternating between rap tracks and ambient interludes. The Flymax Band navigates in these 25 minutes changing their voice and characters on the switches between jazzy and ambient atmospheres. The project goes with a video clip by Flymax longtime collaborator Nathan Gourarier. The film gave its concept to the album : Invite the listener to an impromptu tasting, a game where you drink grand cru in a cardboard cup, where ambient and jazz meets beats music and rap.
